Our organization has hosted a great assortment of Events. We have something for everybody!
Progressive Workshop
One of our main goals here at ITP is to provide as many opportunities for our members as possible. This is why we try to work with companies, such as Progressive, to come in and connect with our members and fellow students.
Resume and Interview Workshops
Another one of our goals is to help our fellow peers learn and hone their professional skills. This is why we host both resumes and interviews to help prepare our members for the professional world. In these events, we work with our university's professional development team to perfect resumes and conduct mock interviews.
YMCA/W.E. Move STEM Day
Not only do we work with fellow students, but we also want to connect with our local community as well. Recently we had an opportunity to work with W.E. Move to have a STEM day. During this event, we provided the kids there with a hands-on experience with computers. We helped them learn different components of a computer while taking it apart.
Date Center Tour
With our data center tour, we wanted to give our members a chance to see a working data center in person. We worked with our university's data center manager, Robert Swift, to be able and tour one of our campus' data centers. During the tour, we learned every aspect of a data center, how it all works with each other, and how much it takes to run and maintain one.
Jeopardy/Kahoot Game Nights
ITP is a social organization as much as it is a professional one. One of our other values is that we want to create and foster a social and friendly environment for like-minded individuals to connect, learn, and have fun. With this in mind, we host Jeopardy and Kahoot game nights for our members to both socialize with their fellow members and learn new things at the same time.
